Joana Vasconcelos is one of Portugal's leading artists and represented Portugal in the 2013 La Biennale di Venezia. Known for her media of sculpture, installations, and assemblages, Adamson Editions has produced new editions of images derived from Vasconcelos's personal sketchbooks, which she has carefully archived over a period of two decades. The drawings from her sketchbook are akin to diary entries, cataloguing ideas for her process, artwork, and events in her life. The new prints for 2022 are based on the sculptural ceramics that consist of animal motives captured in intricate crochet work and rich backgrounds from Versailles.
